Our company grew from a Sunday market shop to 6 outlets in 3 years. Suddenly, there were so many people in the company, all our cash went into stock and the exposure was high, and we still did everything the same way as 3 years ago.

  • H&L provided us with a finance manager who developed and enforced regular profit reporting. He also compares outlets’ profitability and margins so we know where our money is.
  • H&L looked at what everybody does and created job flowcharts and subsequent job descriptions. We used this information to hire better managers who can control staff and its performance.
  • We meet H&L once a month to talk about our 2-3 year strategy whether we need to invest into new systems, expand warehouses, or assess new locations and prepare forecasts to negotiate with landlords.
